Which Mission-style people like the best? (Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall)
In Prophecies, all people to have to do is to complete an extra objective in the mission to completely finish the mission.
In Factions, most of the missions (except The Eternal Grove and Gyala Hatchery mission) was base on how fast the team able to rush through the end of the mission.
And in Nightfall, it is kind of mixture of prophecies mission-style and Factions mission-style.
I haven't reach those missions base on timing in Nightfall yet, so I don't know if the difficulty for getting master reward is as difficult as the one in Factions, but so far I think the prophecies mission-style in Nightfall is quite fun. Overall I think the timing-base mission is very poor idea in Guild Wars, as people was not already abused team build bad enough as it is.

Well i like the Nf ones since theres a good mix of objectives BUT u do HAVE to finish the mission to get the Masters. So id say i like
Prophecies>Nightfall>Factions
proph only wins over Nf because of that fact u can get the bonus (after spending ages getting it) and not have to complete the mission ontop. which saves time when going for protectors titles and means if u die in the last mission battle having already suceeded in gaining the bonus its not a complete waste of time

Prophecies bonuses were the best! I don't like standard, expert, master. It always involves something that can be counted, like how many Sunspear recruits you saved, or how many guard posts neutralized.
In Prophecies, the "bonus" was a whole separate part of the mission that could be skipped, and involved some separate task that you had to complete. You either did it or you didn't. It was really fun.
In Nightfall, the "masters reward" is just doing the mission, but some task that you usually are doing anyway has to be done better. It is really a lot like the timed missions of Factions, but instead of time being the factor, it's how well you do a certain task during the course of the mission.
Factions timed mission was the worst of all. Rushing sucks.

Nightfall > Prophecies > Factions, at least so far.
Though in this Prophecies and Nightfall come really really close. Haven't seen the last 4 mission of Nightfall though.
An added objective is so many times better then rush rush rush.

I always go for the Mission and Bonus.
Some Bonuses in Prophecies could not be done at the same time.
But ALL the Bonuses in Nightfall can be done at the same time as the mission main objective.
So no leaving noobs after getting the bonus=nigthfall style is the better.
The rush missions are better when you are on a spot and battle a not very variable range of creatures (like a bunch of margonites only).

Nightfall>Proph>Factions
In the Nightfall missions, the bonus is usually part of the mission, or at least really close to it, so you don't have to go out of your way to do it. You also have to do the mission to get the bonus, which is also a plus, because there are no groups just going for the bonus. Plus, there is a nice variety of what you do for the bonuses.
In Proph, sometimes the bonus was pretty far away from teh accual mission, which is very anoying, and most of the groups doing the bonus only did the bonus, and not the mission, which was very anoying at times when I wanted to find a group doing the mission (and hopefully bonus too), but all the groups were for bonus only. These ones also have a wide variety of what you do in the bonus, but not as much as Nightfall.
In Factions, every single mission (except 1 that I can think of) is based on time, which was a nice change from Proph at first, but soon got anoying.

I liked Prophecy missions just as Much as Nightfall, Factions were definetly a rush, and even the objective ones were such a pain that I didn't like that much either. I would say a good diversity of both kinds of missions is more enjoyable though, which makes Nightfall better, but that doesn't mean that Prophecies wasn't more enjoyable with the alternative mission type bonus.
Personally, I think there should be a reward for completing the mission, second reward for doing it well and completing objectives, and a third one for a totally alternative objective, which can be completed seperately. The masters, or the spear part of the completion would be better as an alternative/seperate accomplishment IMO. A combination of Nightfall and Prophecies mission rewards would be even better.
And now it is a suggestion :P

Obviously everyone like Prophecies the best and Factions the worst, since Factions was released with timing-based mission, I highly doubt Anet will do anything to change that even now after Nightfall released there's still quite some bugs that have yet been fix from Factions mission. I hope Anet get rid of timing-based mission in the upcoming chapter of Guild Wars.
As I mention before, it is bad enough having people abusing team build but timing-based mission that made people abused team build even worse.

Porph ofcourse I mean its always going to be the best in factions you can get to lvl 20 in 5 days....nightfall is almost as good as prohp but proph took alot longer to beat amd its story line is expanded now I know the reason why too. The reason why proph was the best because it was the beginning of the story it had alot of information in it but factions and nightfall where the middle and last chapter to the story. Guild wars 4 is going to be a big hit I think if everyone is right about it starting a new chapter in guild wars so we should have alot of quest and missions coming our way in that game.

I liked Nightfalls the best overall but I'd like to see some new types similar to prophecies but not exactly. You could have missions where there are 3 different ways to finish the mission. Instead of standard, expert, masters it would just be more like mission a, b, c. Make it possible to do all at once time but also possible to do each one separately. Each "part" could give different rewards. Like part A gives exp, part B gives a skill point, part C gives money, or something like that.

I like Prophecies as I don't like timed missions and I don't mind them like NF without a timer.

Timed missions are, sometimes, appropriate. When you really are in a rush to complete the mission objectives quickly, it doesn't exactly make sense to be going off to do something else. Raisu Palace is one example - the background is that the Emperor is desperately resisting Shiro as you approach, and the faster you get to him, the further he is from breaking - and, likely, the better condition he's in afterwards.
Plenty of Factions missions could have had something else in them, however. #2, for instance, could have had some refugees that had managed to avoid become Afflicted that could be rescued, or it could be tied to not letting Zunraa die. Nahpui Quarter could have some additional ritual you could perform - not required to achieve Weh No Su, but one that represents a greater degree of accomplishment. And so on.

I personally think NF/Chapter 1 are on level terms with Factions bring up the rear.
Rushing through is not something I do.

Nightfall has the mix of doing a few timed missions along with Prophecies styled missions with bonuses as a "sidequest" option. Nightfall went a step further and added the bonus usually as part of the mission, so they're easier than in Prophecies.
I really didn't have a problem with the Factions missions being timed, since that meant most people attempting the bonus were looking to stick around and not go afk while others did the mission for them. However, it got pretty annoying towards the end.

Nightfall requires you to complete the mission, meaning players cannot leave without warning once you get the bonus.
Prophecies missions are long and dull, just like the campaign.

Factions >>>>> All
I really get sick of being told I did something special because I had an extra 15 minutes to kill and ran around like an idiot with some key of destiny to open the treasures of something or other. Masters to me means kicking the crap out of a mission, not bumbling through it with heroes and happening to talk to the right bonus activation NPC.

Nightfall > Factions/Prophecies
I like how Nightfall kind of has both, and requires you to complete the mission to get the bonus. Factions was fun because you actually had to think about what you were doing to be fast enough to get Masters. Prophecies bonuses offered strategy, but were also quite easy if you took your time in carefully completing them or came back once you'd completed the main mission.

So far I have only found one mission in Nightfall that requires time as a basis for a requirement. And that is just the bonus in Grand Court. You can take as long as you want if you aren't concerned about the bonus. There may be more later, but I haven't gotten there yet so can't really say.
My breakdown:
Nightfall:
I like the Multi part bonuses that were introduced in Factions. A chance to get 3 or 4 skill points per mission is nice.
I don't like that if you go back just to get the bonus, you have to complete the whole mission.
Factions:
Pretty much hated everything about the mission structure. All were timed, pretty much all had to protect an NPC from dieing. Dual Party missions is a great idea, but are still bug riddled.
Prophecies:
Perfect except for not having multiple layers, standard, advanced and masters.
